Compare Two Text Files Online
Open or paste two file versions and review every line, word, and character change.
Comparison content is processed in this browser and is not uploaded to DiffPeek.
Compare two text files side by side
Open two local text-based files or paste their contents to find additions, deletions, and replacements. Switch between split and unified views, hide unchanged lines, move between changes, and select a changed row to edit or merge it in either direction.
The files are read and compared in your browser. DiffPeek does not upload their contents, and the downloadable unified diff is generated locally.
Try a configuration-file review
Open the filled configuration example to review a retry change, a feature toggle, and a new setting. With your own data, use Open file or drop one local text file onto each editor.
Files are limited to 10 MiB. UTF-16 LE/BE is recognized when a byte-order mark is present; other text is read as UTF-8. Binary-looking data, PDFs, Word documents, archives, and executable formats are not decoded as text. Downloads use UTF-8 with LF line endings and do not preserve the original file encoding, byte-order mark, or newline style.
For project-wide changes use the Folder Diff Checker. For pasted snippets use Text Compare, or compare programming files with Code Compare.
